I do agree, but there are some interesting points worth discussing regarding Romania.
- Gold didn’t maintain its purchasing power during hyperinflation
- Gold was very difficult to transact; which is a problem that Bitcoin aims to solve.
It’s definitely not a 1:1 comparison but it’s something worth examining. Granted precious metals are better than transacting with food or other volatile assets.
What other epochs in history would you point to for exploring hyperinflation?
