I'm reminded of a quote from Bernie Madoff after he was arrested: "Why are you guys even talking to me? The US government is running the biggest Ponzi scheme in the world."

Although Bernie lacks credibility, he knows a Ponzi scheme when he see's one.

The US government's plan, as I'm sure you know, is just to borrow money to continue paying the deficit (i.e. borrow money from new investors to pay off old investors).

The American government and top investment institutions (e.g. Goldman Sachs, BlackRock) are benefiting from the scam while the American people are hurt most.
